I have not seen it yet. But against my better judgment, my 6 year SD old reads these books. Since she has read them already, I thought I'd take her to the movie. Is it appropriate for her age?

I took my 9 year old as she loves the books. I was dreading going myself, but enjoyed it! The young cast is very good with impeccable comedic timing. Cosmogr, I think both you and your DD will enjoy it.

^ Thanks! I do want to see it. I just wasn't sure if the word "moron" was used too much.

I took my 6-year-old daughter to see it--her choice . I was surprised to actually enjoy it! And she was fascinated!

my twins are 5, will be 6 in June and I won't take them . . .
I took my 9 yo DD and we thought it was hilarious!!!
It's about a middle school kid. . . . so it has content 9/10/11 yr olds like.

I took my children (ages 6 and 9) and they both loved the movie. There is some gross boy humor but nothing too horrible. I thought the movie was very cute and the actors did a great job. Rowley is such a loveable character!
