Diamonds in eternity wedding band keep becoming loose

I have a solitaire engagement ring and an eternity wedding band and this is the second time in two years that a diamond has become loose on my band. I know that the setting for the eternity band isn't the most stabe (it's a shared claw setting with diamonds that are .20 carat each) but it seems the main cause is my engagement ring rubbing up against my wedding band. Besides wearing the rings on two separate fingers (i.e. my engagement ring on my right hand) does any one have a suggestion on how to avoid this problem? Any advice would be appreciated!

You could wear a plain spacer ring between the two. But I agree with illinirdhd, get your prongs checked regularly. I have a solitare & shared setting half eternity band too and I get mine checked at least once every 6 months.

I have my engagement and eternity rings soldered together.

I wasn't happy when it was suggested to me but now I LOVE IT! They don't spin around and I always wear them together anyway.

I second the spacer band idea. I had my rings soldered before, and I liked it at first but then it bothered me that I could not wear my wedding band seperate. I had them taken apart.

My 3 stone e ring stones were loose at one point, all 3 of them. I think it is because I wear it all of the time. The prongs are platinum. I agree check your jewelry often and have it professionally checked every 6 months. I hear my ring rattling around, that is how I noticed mine. I don't know anything about spacer rings and didn't realize bands could make your e-ring loose !

^^^ That's one reason we bought our wedding rings from a chain jeweler instead of having them made like my engagement ring - they came with lifetime stone replacement/cleaning/rhodium plating for life, at any store in the country.
