What would you choose?

I has a diamond tennis bracelet and lost it. It was not insured and I don’t know if I should have it replaced or get a love bracelet? I also always wanted the Love bracelet. So torn and appreciate any advice.

Did you wear it often? If you think you will miss it then you should replace it. I have both and I have worn my YG Love 24/7 for the past 5 years. I wear my tennis bracelet once and awhile. You could always buy a love bracelet with some diamonds if you think you will miss the sparkle with the Love. GL deciding!

I think I am more worried about wearing the diamond bracelet just in case it falls off somewhere again. So, I don't think I would wear it as often. I would feel safer with the Love. I just looked and do like the Love with 4 diamonds.

I would get the Love before there’s another price rise. Tennis bracelets aren’t as expensive so you could get one at a later date. I recently bought a diamond Love bracelet and I am so glad I did. I do still like the look of tennis bracelets but I wanted something I could wear all the time, I felt a tennis bracelet might need a bit more TLC. I may get a tennis bracelet one day but I’m very happy for now

It depends on your style and what you feel you would get the most wear out of - personally, as someone who owns both, I would go for the Love. It’s much easier to wear day to day and the price keeps going up. I bought my tennis preowned for a steal and although it is a stunning bracelet I hardly ever wear it. I find it more ostentatious (most people who see my Love just think it is a gold bracelet rather than a Cartier one) and don’t really reach for it. I have been tempted to sell it but know I would never find another of the same quality at the same price again!

Thank you for your replies. I am going to go with the Love. Even though I miss my diamond tennis bracelet, I think it will not be the same if I replaced it. It was a gift from DH on our honeymoon 20 years ago and our honeymoon. I was devastated when I lost it and he was surprised that it did not happen sooner. So, I think starting new with the Love is the way to go especially with their screw locking system I won't have to be so worried wearing it.

I have a diamond tennis bracelet that I have yet to have made safer. What I have done in the past if I’ve been concerned about losing bracelets is to secure it to another bracelet via strategically placed jump rings. For this, obviously firstly you need a bracelet you like to go with the tennis bracelet. Next, the bracelet MUST have links you can put jump rings through every so often, I had jump rings through every 8th link on both bracelets. Now this is a very particular look, but provided you pick a bracelet that compliments the tennis bracelet, it looks great.

Another thing if you don’t like the above idea is to get your bracelet checked on a regular basis. Not just the closure, but the links too. If possible, add safety latches to both sides of the closure. Do not wear your jewellery in bed. Change the clasp if necessary. Lobster claw clasps are great, as are slide clasps.

Love bracelet for sure. Cartier prices will jump. Tennis bracelets will not have the same type of exponential price increases as Cartier. I also love the screw system, and have never had an issue with it. Lost a diamond bangle in the past and swore to never get something that was so easy to fall off again.
