diamond solitaire or love wedding band for anniversary??

So my 15th anniversary is coming up next month and I've been trying to choose a ring to pair with my diamond eternity band. It's been years since I've worn my wedding set. I generally wear the eternity band alone but I'd love something that I could wear with it. I have two ideas...can't decide which direction to go in. I need opinions!! :smile1:
My first option is to get a diamond solitaire. I've always loved the classic simplicity and sort of wish I would have gone with something like that for my engagement ring. I was playing around at Blue Nile and something like this would be in our budget and I think it would look great with my eternity band.

I'm also considering a Cartier Love wedding band in white gold. Again, I love that it's beautiful, classic, and simple. I've never owned anything from Cartier and I think it would be a very special piece...but of course a sparkly diamond is hard to pass up. Sadly, a diamond Love band is not in the budget at the moment! :p

Are you intending these to be replacements for your actual engagement/ wedding ring or just another ring for another finger?

Personally, I am not a fan of replacing the wedding set unless you are forced to by the loss/ damage to the original in which case I'd probably go for the Love ring but just use it as a normal ring for another finger

I wore a channel set half eternity until our 10 year. I had a half carat very well cut solitaire and he had it reset into a hearts on fire beloved (halo). While its gorgeous, I was really lucky and he got me a nice Memoire eternity band for Christmas in the same year (very lucky and completely unexpected). I regret that he got the solitaire reset because I would prefer wearing my channel set half eternity with the Memoire prong set full eternity. And my dream is a love ring! The solitaire spins a lot and while it's pretty to look at, I would be fine with just the bands. Again, solitaires are gorgeous but it sounds like you enjoy bands. And the love is a great one!
