Hello! I am looking for advice. I want to buy a diamond solitaire necklace around 1ct. I want something that is classic and can be worn everyday. I am just unsure if I should get a floating diamond necklace, bezel, or halo. I am not a petite lady. I also don’t know if I should get white or yellow gold. My everyday jewelry is my white gold emerald engagement ring, pave diamond wedding band, and 2 cttw diamond studs in white gold. Just because my earrings and ring are white gold I don’t necessarily think the necklace has to be as well. I am light- medium complexion, with neutral undertones. I just want something that I will get lots of use out of. I am thinking princess cut. Please help!

My daily wear earrings and necklace are 2ctw diamond studs with a .85ct diamond bezel necklace in white gold. I selected the diamonds myself based on the recommended proportions at pricescope dot com. Definitely check that site out for info on selecting quality modern round brilliant diamonds. The setting was custom made by David Klass Jewelry, who are in LA but working remotely with them is easy and their prices are very reasonable. The chain is 18” with two jump stations, so it can be worn at 18”, 17” and 16”. Fixed pendants tend to slide around on the neck, but the sliding bezel means it rarely spins. Good luck deciding!

ETA: First pic shows the necklace at 16”. Also a pic of my earring and necklace combo.

Thank you! It looks beautiful together!

I have a Tiffany DBTY necklace, solitaire diamond, YG. I love the minimalistic delicate chain, it's similar to a floating necklace which really allows the diamond to shine.
If you want your diamond to stand out and show its sparkle, I'd go for the floating necklace with a more dainty chain.

I switch up my regular lobe earrings everyday, but my upper lobe and cartilage earrings are usually in YG.
My E-ring and wedding band are WG and platinum and I mix and match metals all the time.

So as for the metal choice, that's really up to you!
