It's been awhile since I've posted in the jewelry box but I find myself in need of some help and would love your ideas. I wear almost everyday diamond by the inch necklaces. I have 4 that I wear in all different combos. I have a 16" 5 stone wg, 16/18" wg 5 stone Roberto Coin, 16" marquise 5 stone (stones set in wg, chain is yg) and a 20" rg Helen Ficalora. Not sure how many stones on the Helen Ficalora, it's at the jewelry store now having another ring put on so I can wear it 18"'s too. I have an antique diamond halo pendant that I wear sometimes too, but the center diamond does not lay flat, it is raised so it causes a bit of a tangle when I layer it, I also don't love how it looks sticking up. I usually wear diamond studs daily (.80pts) and I have halo/jackets for them that they lay flat in. I really don't like how the pendant looks with the earrings. I was thinking of having the diamond in the halo reset so it is just a single (.20) bezel set pendant. I should also say that I have a beautiful pave teardrop pendant for when I want the look of a pendant. Do you think I should reset the pendant? I think what is holding me back is what do I do with the halo stones then? They're really too little to do anything with. Do you think 20pts is too small on it's own? Help!! I'm usually good at making decisions but I can't seem to make up my mind. TIA (oh, I would do the necklace in wg, it was also suggested I add it as a center stone to one of my dbty's but I know I don't want to do that)

Oh, today I am wearing thisImageUploadedByPurseForum1431022197.236288.jpg
I thought the single diamond would even look nice with something like this. Just thinking I could wear it with everything.

Anyone? I would love to see modeling shots of anyone who has a single 20ptish diamond solitare set in a bezel. Or set any other way you love.

This is my .23 carat diamond solitaire necklace in white gold. It is set in a four prong basket style. Although the size is dainty, it makes an impact. For me, it is the perfect size for daily wear. Right now, I wear the necklace by itself but plan on layering it in the future. As a bonus, my necklace has never flipped like many of the DBTY styles tend to. :smile1:

Very pretty. Love the setting. Flipping is a problem. Mine is still sitting in it's halo. Maybe it should stay there, I just can't make up my mind!

Thanks! Do you have a pic of your necklace? I also love your Helen Ficalora jewelry! I've always wanted a necklace from her but could never make up my mind. Haha

Is it a true antique or antique style? Imho I would not reset an antique; high quality pieces tend to go up in value and rarity. If it an antique style, I would reset the diamond and see if I could use the original setting to put a different stone in it (e.g. sapphire).
