I know these pendants have been around for quite some time, but I was just curious as to everyone's opinion on them now. Do you think they're classic, dated, or what? If you have one, do you still wear it? If you had recently found a really great deal on one, would you buy it? Any opinions are welcomed and appreciated!

I've found a really good deal on a 1ct one, but I don't want to buy something that screams "dated."

I think the number one rule is: Buy what you love!

So what if its "dated", so long as you love it? Besides, what is "dated" to one is "retro chic" to the next person.

Wear and enjoy. If you end up feeling it's not for you years down the track, you can always reset your diamonds.

Good points, thanks! I was just curious as to whether their time had come and gone. I have always wanted one, but I didn't want to buy one when they first started getting popular...I wanted to wait it out and see if they continued to be popular or became a "classic" piece. And now I'm kind of afraid I've waited too long!

I used to think it was a nice design but when I see other people wear them, they always turn on the side. It's not really my style anymore so I'm pretty glad I didn't get one back then. That said, if you like it then go for it!

Blossy's right - if you love it, wear it no matter if it's "in" or not! xMMx

Thanks for your opinion!

Really? I didn't know that they were bad for flipping over...that might bug me a little bit. I wonder if a thicker chain would fix that? I don't ever use those thin cheapy chains that come with a lot of pendants; I always use of my thicker ones. I don't trust those thin ones at all. They just seem way too fragile.

I would never buy buy one for myself because they're not my style-- too dangly. But I still see them and they are really sparkly but they do tend to flip from what I've noticed. If you love it then get it!

Love that Tiffany's one! I might be immature and juvenile in saying/thinking this but the traditional journey pendants remind me of little spermmies! I much prefer the Tiffany one :)

These were never on the radar for me in terms of my purchasing, but I do remember seeing ads for them. I didn't like the forced narrative.
I agree the Tiffany bubbles, & swing are fun. I think the bezel is more playful.
(Just my opinion, but sometimes the marketing for certain pieces just hits me the wrong way....not like I need marketing to find jewelry I want though!)

same here, forced marketing or symbolism on a design makes me not want that item! it's like the whole right hand ring ads of the early 2000's basically you are a women, you're confident, strong, take care of a family etc.... you deserve to buy yourself a diamond ring...

all I thought when I saw those ads was "ya I know this already" :p

and I agree I like the bubbles design more, it feels more whimsical and lighthearted
