hi everyone! i've been really wanting a diamond initial necklace. any idea where i can get a good quality one, for a reasonable price? i'm looking for something made out of gold, and on the smaller side in a shorter chain so i can layer it with something :)

any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Have you had a look at Alex Woo?
They come in sterling silver, 14kt Yellow gold and 14kt white gold with diamonds.
It's mini and perfect for layering. It comes on a gorgeous chain (you choose the length) as well, very sparkly.
I love mine, it's my "signature" necklace I wear every day.

i go0t mine 0.11 ctw) on a 16 inch chain from Maurice Badler on Jewlers on Fifth in NYC. they had pics on line when i got it 2 yrs ago and they may be able to sell by phone... paid abuot $500 usd if i recall.

Diamonds INternational is another sources to check.

When I was in high school I bought a Nadri CZ one (normally $38 but now $18, http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/nadri-i.../3034748?origin=keywordsearch&resultback=6370) and then I wore it so much that I asked for a Roberto Coin one ($520, http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/c...732cat4870731cat4870734cat23290739cat12660764) for Christmas last year!

thanks so much for the photos! i love em! i did see roberto coin and really like it. both neimans and nordstrom carry them :)

i guess around $500 is the best price i could get for these? can anyone weigh in on this?

Any jeweler can special order this style, for less than the cost of the designer brand name.

Have you asked any jewelry stores about ordering it? The only downside is that some require a percentage downpayment (usually 20%) and you're ordering sight unseen...and sometimes are unable to return.

Yea that's about the lowest I've seen them in a few years. But the diamonds are generally fantastic so if you want good sparkle from it, make sure the stones aren't cheapy.

very true! especially that i don't plan on taking this off, i think it would be a great idea to just go for the one i like, which is the roberto coin! it looks so pretty!

I love Jennifer Meyer's line. I have the YG disc with diamonds forming the initial. But she has also released a version of small initials - similar (but nicer) than the RC diamond initials. The JM ones look way more sparkle-y to me.
