Diamond experts opinions please!

Is this a good deal - now $1600 and was $5000?
There are 5 stones and each are approximately .25.
But from a dept store and not a designer named brand.

Also , is it more desirable to have diamonds go all the way around or just 5 in front?

Hi Phillyfan- imho it is would be massively overpriced at $5000 and not much better at $1600! I1/I2 clarity means loads of visible inclusions and there is no info on cut at all. I think there would be very little sparkle factor. Dbty necklace designs always look better with 7 stones (again, only my preference).

OK...I'm going to give you my honest opinion. I have a three strand DBTY chain...2 tcw. I would not wear it alone, only as a chain with a pendant. The diamonds are so small they get lost when used alone. Even a 5 station necklace may be be too small. Great necklace to layer, though. Can you try one on?
Have you considered a solitaire DBTY...maybe .30 to .40 tcw? Doesn't have to be Tiffany.

I looked at the necklace in person in Bloomingdales. And it was not good. [emoji22]. The diamonds spin so 3 of the 5 were flipped. The sales lady said that is likely why it is on sale! Sky queen - I will definitely look into a solitaire DBTY today!
