Diamond Earring Upgrade or Pendant?

Do you already have a diamond pendant? Do you like wearing necklaces? If you don’t have a diamond pendant and enjoy wearing necklaces, a 1carat pendant would be a nice match to your earrings.
Hi! I went down the same route. I have 2cttw Hearts On Fire diamond earrings and wanted to upgrade to 4cttw. I thought for sure I would love 2cts in each ear. Nope. They were too big and actually looked a bit “fake tacky” on me which I would never thought I would say because I like a lot of bling. Then I tried to see if going down to 3cttw with 1.5 in each ear would be better and the difference was not much of a difference than my 2cttw. So I stayed with my 2cttw.
I would go for a pendant but I would be sure the color is the same. I see a photos on PF where the person has a huge diamond engagement ring of a lower color grade and they wear it with an eternity band of a higher color grade. It completely takes away from the big diamond as the diamond now looks yellow. So I would suggest if you really want a solitaire to match the color of your earrings. People will say the necklace is not near your ears, but some with good eyes can definitely see the difference and you want to be happy with your purchase.
