DH has FINALLY come clean about Bbags... he hates the TASSELS!

Great that you DH has learn to live with it and you have decided to keep the tassels. Don't ever think about Cutting Your Bbag tassels. The tassels is what makes Bbag special. It would definitely de-value the bag, other ladies wouldn't want to buy something that was altered with b/c then its not the same, at least I wouldn't. No way.

I find the tassels annoying at times, but I tried cutting them on my black city (since I knew it would not be a problem to get new ones) and that lasted all of a day before I couldn't stand it and put the back-up set on. It just looked WRONG to me. I agree, though, that if it looks better to you & you don't care about resale value, go ahead and cut!!
