Hi All!

Would you consider using a website to trade designer items? Personally, the appeal for me has always been trading one "bigger" thing that just stays in your closet (e.g. handbags that depreciate in value such as Gucci, Mulberry, Michael Kors, etc.), for maybe a few smaller things that you have always wanted but may be discontinue ( e.g. those sunglasses or necklaces that you have been coveting but haven't wanted to shell out the cash for). What are your thoughts?

Personally, no. I am not a fan of second hand anything but especially designer goods. I would never know if it was truly authentic and would be worried about scoring a fake in return when swapping. I would never do that to anyone but not everyone is like that.
It's something I've never been able to do, my one and only second hand purchase through consignment ended in me returning it because I just couldn't do it. Plenty of people do though and have success doing so but I'd probably be more likely to buy second hand if I was going to than trade.

I knew that I was going to get in trouble for that example. It is just that, an example. What would you be willing to trade a Mulberry bag for? Anything? Or would you rather sell it for the cash?

How do you ensure the authenticity of goods traded or the fact both parties will even send anything?
Sounds like an opening for many to be ripped off in many ways.
Definitely would prefer to sell for cash to by new myself.

I sell my bags I no longer want to fund the bags I currently want so no way would I trade my high end bags for someone's used Sunnies or costume jewelry....plus I spend on high end Sunnies as well
