Designer Boots worth the $$$ ?

Hi, I'm thinking of getting a designer pair of boots, around the $1000 price range. However my other boots are around the $300 price range.
Just wondering, are they worth the money I'll splurge on them? Or my $300 boots sufficient in terms of quality. I seem to get bored of my stuff pretty quickly.. so can anyone with $1000++ boots answer my question please? Thank you!

Well the city in Australia that I'm living in only has Gucci, Burberry and LV outlets, so I'm always doing online shopping from the US (the exhange rate nowadays is pretty good too).
I'm very particular with boots as they have to be flat for comfort lol.
I've seen some really awesome boots on bluefly.com like these ones

In terms of bags I own a few Marc Jacobs and a Chloe, but Gucci, Prada, Mui Mui boots are TDF!

Yes, some of them are. I have one pair of $2500 boots and another on their way. They are both classics so they will last me a lifetime, lol!

I think you have posted this in the wrong place, ask a mod to move it for you.

An LV outlet?? I was just in Australia for New Years...REALLY wish I had known about that. I may be going back next fall...where is this outlet? Is it good?

And as for the designer boots...yes they are worth it!! I have a pair of Prada black boots that are amazing! They were just over $1,000 but worth every penny. These could be the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned...they literally feel like butter on my feet. Also, with something like boots its probably worth it---you'll wear them for years and years.

It's at King's Street, Perth. I just went there last weekend, and it isn't too big, but yet it feels like it has more stuff that appealed to me in there than the bigger Armani outlet. Burberry was definitely bigger though!

I have some boots that are a few hundred dollars (like Frye) and other boots that are in the 1,000 dollar range. While I think the boots that retail for $$$ are over-priced, they are worth it for the quality and also to know you are buying something that is made in Italy as opposed to China. Sadly, it is almost impossible these days to buy shoes/boots that are made in Italy etc. for less than a few hundred dollars. Also if you are going to wear the boots a lot, I think you can justify the price to get something you really want.

My suggestion is to look for sales. I bought a pair of Chloe boots that retailed for over a $1,000 dollars for about $400 last year in Las Vegas. At that price you can't beat the quality for the money! I think around January/February when spring styles start coming into fashion it is possible to get some great deals.

By the way, what boots are you looking at?

I really like the Miu Miu boots. What can I say I have a thing for studs :P I think it's worth it to spend money on quality items especially when it comes to shoes, a pair of boots that you will get years of use out of is worth the extra $ in my opinion. How ever if you tend to be fickle in what you wear you may sorely regret spending that kind of money & have buyers remorse. If your really itching for them I say try a pair but check out the return policy before you purchase them. For $1000 for a pair of boots make sure you love them and that they are comfortable(why have a $1000 pair of boots if they sit in the closet b/c they hurt when you wear them?). If you order them and when you open the box are not completely in love or if they fit you poorly return them ASAP!

You need to make sure that you really want them, and also buy classics. I bought a pair of Hermès Story boots and I have neve worn them. Since they are classics they won´t go out of fashion, and I will still be able to wear them later.

They are incredibly well made, by hand, but very very expencive. A bit over priced IMO, but gorgeous non the less. I am currently awaiting a pair of Hermès Kelly jumping boots, gorgeous beyond belief, lol! I hope I will wear those!

If you tire easily maybe $1000++ designer boots (provided they are not classics) are just not worth it?

Thanks everyone for your input!
They definitely have to be a classic and hopefully on sale(so if i were to tire of them i won't be too guilty)
Yup it's almost winter here in Australia and I'm on the hunt for a pair of boots hehe.
