I'm in the market for a classic belt with a IYKYK sort of branding on it. What are your recommendations? I'd be wearing the belt with casual/work (US based HS teacher) outfits- a lot of pants with blazers, dresses, those sort of outfits, and I'm partial to brown over black.

For IYKYK the most popular ones are currently Celine and Hermes.
Celine being the triomphe logo and Hermes being the Kelly belt.

Personally I prefer Hermes. The triomphe Celine logo is getting a little too popular I feel (in-person and online).

Both Celine and Hermes have beautiful brown leathers. Hermes here their famous "gold" color.

On a side note.
Since you teach high school there is a chance that the students may recognize most logos anyway, being so up-to-date on social media and all.
When I used to tutor high school students in a private academy they wore all the luxury labels. Clothes, shoes, belts, bags, etc.

How about Ferragamo or Loewe? Their logos are more low key. They both make a nice reversible brown/black belt.

If you mean IYKYK as in a belt that is solely recognizable by those in the know it’s going to be a bit difficult especially depending on how small the pool of in the know you want it to be.

All the big brands run by the conglomerates tend to have either recognizable buckles or write their name of the brand on the buckle or use design cues from other items (aka Kelly buckle
By and large H is pretty recognizable but if you look outside the belt kits you can still find some pretty under the radar belts.

BC always releases the same styles of belts season after season and have a recognizable look but they would be hard to pinpoint without knowing the brand well enough.

Vaincourt makes some pretty belts ranging from understated to showstoppers.
