Hi everyone! It's been 2 months now and I am back with another progress report as promised!

Sorry for it being so late in the day, my job has been hectic and I was pretty caught up with video games hahah!

So a few things to note! My internal stitches FINALLY came out! I think it was maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago that they started to come out; I did have to kind of dig my nose with a q tip to kinda encourage that but it didn't hurt or anything. And another TMI thing is like.... I keep getting HUGE boogers, it's really annoying. That's why I keep sticking q tips in there and cleaning my nose hahah.

I still diligently put on the scar cream on my nose and eyes, and I can see when my nose incision site is dry, there is like the tiniest kind of "silver line"? And if I irritate that area (like if I eat something hot and spicy and my nose runs) the area gets a bit red but I think it's always been like that for me.

My eyes are healing like really well now though! There's still a couple of dark "spots" where I guess it was threaded? But it's barely noticeable now.

Just going to note this because I know people worry about this sort of stuff: I noticed in the photo this time my nostril asymmetry is more apparent; I think it's a distortion/angle from the camera that makes it look more like that. It didn't really change that much from last month. I just got too lazy to take a better photo and tbh almost forgot to post today hahah. It's really hard to take consistent photos in this angle; I basically bring my phone close up to my face and angled below my nose where I can barely see the button to press it. Plz forgive me for those inconsistencies, I'll let you know if it's something alarming though hahaha!

On there I am wearing the scar cream. Basically when I wear this scar cream, I noticed that where the incision is made, it's basically invisible. I guess the trick is, as long as it's moisturized, that line will stay pretty much invisible?

Other than that, I am just enjoying my new eyes and nose. I almost forget I had anything done until I look in a mirror and just feel happy LOL. I go into my digital work meetings without make up and no one noticed. I think I made the right choice to go natural; I still look like me, but like way better!! I had a video chat with a friend too, and she didn't say anything about my change in appearance. It's like she doesn't even know? I'm glad cause if I can put off the awkward "oh yeah I had plastic surgery" talk for as long as possible, that'd be great HAHAHA.

BTW I am kind of going to go AWOL on Kakaotalk. I never really used this app in the first place, and I'm not much of a social media person tbh. Sorry if anyone messages and don't get a response for a long time. I'll check in once in a while when I can.

OK see you guys in month 3! (June 1st!) I'm going to go play my video games hahaha

Hi guys! I've returned for the 3 month update! Sorry I am technically a day late, but it's like midnight where I live. I took the photos earlier in the day and just put off posting for a while since I had work and video game commitments hahaha!

I can't say that much has changed since last month. My only concerns and thoughts were this:
I'm not sure if you can really tell in this photo (last month's photo you can see this a bit more clearly), but if I run my finger along the bridge, I feel a slight bump where my new bridge is (which is where my septum cartilage would have been added.) This creates a bit of a "dent" in the middle of my nose bridge, but I am staying patient and seeing if this is just partially swelling and maybe my body needs time to absorb some of the cartilage to make a smooth line. I'm not super concerned since that I know my bone was very high up my nose bridge, so I don't think it's a collapse, but rather some left-over swelling of some sort. I was warned many times that the mid to tip would be the last parts of the swelling to go away, and that it lasts the longest! I am just at the 3 month mark, so maybe on the 6th month it will have improved by then. It is also very slight, I feel it more than I see it in the mirror or in the photos I take.

I tried to post a less distorted version of my nostrils since last time's looked weird. I think it's as symmetrical as it gets. I really can't see the scar at this point on the collumnella. I think it might be my lighting and maybe imagination, but I think one side of my nose is de-swelling a bit faster than the other side around my nose tip? It's a bit more defined looking? My nose bridge is also looking a bit more defined and narrow, but in a nice way!

I laugh and talk normally, I still feel stiffness when I make the motion where my upper lip is curled in so that my bottom teeth can touch it. (It's just a bad habit of mine that I do to peel the upper lip skin LOL...) It feels like I can't really do that anymore, or that I am still afraid to do that haha.... I was advised against doing this because it would create tension on the scar, but I can't really do that anyways. Not a huge loss but I thought I should share. I don't have trouble closing my lips or anything.

My eyes seem like they are pretty much all healed up. There's still some very very tiny left over scars. I admit I haven't been as diligent lately with putting on my cream hahah. I put it on maybe like every 3 or 4 days now for both eyes and nose. This isn't deliberate, I just got lazy.

I haven't tried wearing make up yet. This lock down in Canada is still going strong although we are loosening restrictions little by little. I'm in a work from home situation so I have very little reason to go outside. My bf usually does the groceries for us and we just order food/supplies to our door. My close friend has seen my eyes (I wore a mask) once in person when dropping off a gift, and she didn't mention anything about how different I looked. I guess it's not that noticeable? I'm glad; I just wanted a natural MBB look!

I still sleep with my neck pillow (seriously so comfy) but I don't really sleep on my back anymore. I just use it to make sure my nose doesn't get crushed on the pillow or something. I sleep on my sides again... sometimes I have weird dreams about my nose falling off or getting terribly distorted or something but that's about it hahaha! I have fears about my nose job going wrong even still, but when I look in the mirror I look totally fine. Best thing I think I can do is just relax and wait a full year since everyone's healing progress is different.

And that's all I can think about that is significant about my eyes/nose. I honestly forget that I had anything done and just live life as usual. I guess though it is nice to look in the mirror and realize how much better I look now even while disheveled looking hahah.

See you guys in the 4th month! (July 1st!)

Your result looks good and I'm glad you are happy with it. Thank you for consistently posting updates and I appreciate the little details (like what you said about stiffness when curling your upper lip) so that I can mentally prepare for it haha.

The entire region of your nose is basically numb and swollen.
It will last from 6 months to a year.
It is a really weird feeling.
But what you need to really be careful of is that you do not accidentally bump or hit your nose.
It sounds easy, but if you have never gotten rhinoplasty you really touch or hit your nose (especially the tip) more than you think. It is something you will need to adjust to for the rest of your life.

Wow your eyes look so beautiful. Did you get the price for eyes via kakao or in person for Ive? They quoted me 3million won for non-incisional which is like double the price they quoted you. I'll have to look into Wannabe because of your results!!

Wow Ive quoted me 3.9mil for incisional on kakao. I wonder why they quoted me so much compared to yours. As each day passes, I'm getting more iffy about them. What drew me to them was a user on here (lemmetellu or something like that) made a post that a lot of locals go there, but now I'm starting to wonder if she was a promoter as she didn't do b/a photos either and her review she made herself seem credible without proof (saying her uncle who is a plastic surgeon recommended this place, that she's a local, but it's weird a local would go on here, not naver... also saying her results are good but not showing proof...).
Aside from her post, the only other 2 people who have shared their experiences don't seem great. Just wanted to let you know I was talking to a girl from here yesterday who got hers done at Ive and she's going back for a revision (she wouldn't tell me what was wrong tho) and I also read someone else mentioned one of their friends eye fell out (non incisional).
Also Ive initially responded to me but they haven't responded to my last message, also the language barrier seems to be a challenge. I'm so sad because they were at the top of my list, and now I need to research more clinics.

Sorry I made a mistake! I copied the wrong cell from my spreadsheet ;they actually quoted me 4000~5000 US$ (They quoted me in USD for some reason) for non-incisional ptosis correction and non-incisional double eyelid surgery?! So they're out of the running for me, not even going to do a f2f consultation. Yeah I saw the post by lemmetellu too! One of their friends eye fell out?! That's actual insanity. If she's a promoter then we're just going to have to take her post with a grain of salt and dig a bit deeper, at the moment I'm blindly navigating through the Gangnam Unnie app to find more reviews, too bad I don't know a lick of Korean...

At the moment my ranking for top 5 potential clinics is
  1. ITEM - quoted me 2.80 mil krw for incisional DES and ptosis correction
  2. Shinseung (reviews look good, but then again was suggested by lemmetellu so now I'm going to look more into this) - quoted me 2.5 mil krw for incisional eyelid and 1 mil for ptosis correction
  3. The IRON - quoted me 1.8 mil krw non-incisional DES + 0.8 mil krw for epi (cash)
  4. Hyundai Aesthetics - quoted me 2.50 mil krw for incisional DES and ptosis correction
  5. June Clinic (again, suggested by lemmetellu so need to look into them more) - quoted me 2.5-3.0 mil krw (cash) for incisional DES, epicantoplasty and ptosis correction
I'm thinking when I finally bite the bullet and head to Seoul I'll consult with all 5 and see which one gives me the best feeling! What about you Pepperopiz, what clinics have you shortlisted?

Re: the pricing - I found their Chinese instagram page @wannabeps_chn and basically found out that they've been posting promos. I needed help translating with Google translate (I literally just screenshot the promo pictures and put them into the app) and it seems that the promos for eyelid surgery are now 1.4-1.9M KRW. Maybe screenshot their promo images and send it back to them for negotiation? If you're still interested in them, that is!

*Also, I should caveat that I'm not 100% sure the Chinese instagram account is the same one as the one we're talking about but I'm 99% sure...the logo is the same and the phone number (well, the last 4 digits) are the same.

Their eyeball didn't fall out hahah but the thread/double eyelid in the eye did. That's why I don't want to get non-incisional, but still, I would be so unhappy if I flew to Seoul and came back home to it falling out while it's healing... Ive quoted me in korean won. I'm not sure how they decide what to say or quote. Do you look like a westerner/foreigner? I'm asian so that may have affected it.

I don't know if she's a promoter, but it just occurred to me that she MIGHT be so I'm rethinking her review. Hearing 1 rave review, then 2 bad (talking to 1 of them) makes me not want to go. And I don't care for their b/a on their website. Also she kind of **** on someone who commented that their friend had a bad experience there even though the person as polite about it lol. I think I'd rather be safe than sorry, so I cut them off my list.

I have 7 clinics I've reached out to, and I've shortlisted them to 2: Shinseung, Wannabe. I definitely want to do f2f at those places right now.
I want to find more b/a and reviews from Wannabe though.
Mina PS have been the most communicative with me (given me quotes, surgery suggestions already, respond within a day to questions) and I'm not ruling them out 100%, but they don't have a lot of b/a, I feel like the price is too good to be true, and they seem to target foreigners which makes me scared about shadow doctors, so idk... I still have time to decide. I want to go this October but not if there's still a 14-day quarantine at airport. Then I might have to go next year in spring. When are you planning to go?

PS you probably know this, but just in case, make sure you don't go to blacklisted clinics! I've been watching Dr. Vendetta on youtube and it's motivating me to do more and more research as he's a former plastic surgeon in South Korea who has basically dedicated his life to expose the malpractices in Korea. It's in korean, but some vids have subs and you can translate. What's scary tho is that there are clinics WHO HAVE KILLED PEOPLE who are still practicing as the judge ruled it as a "misunderstanding..." so scary. thought I would share because there are people here who still go to these clinics https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcAr8jkpscsMfSeaNYzJwNg

I'm with you, non-incisional just doesn't seem worth it considering so many people have theirs loosen over time. I know non-incisional costs less than incisional but since we're overseas it's not as easy for us to just go get it done again like the locals when it does unravel. And I'm betting on a not too noticeable scar since I'm still in my early 20s...

Dude I'm asian too, and I'm not even from America LOL no idea why they quoted me in USD even though I told them where I'm from! I've never heard of Mina PS before, how much did they quote you? Honestly since we're going under the knife I'd rather be safe than sorry and go for midrange, not too cheap and not too expensive amiright. I'm definitely going to go after there's no 14 day quarantine required since that's so much extra time and money needed, so probably earliest is beginning of next year? I'm really looking forward to the development of the vaccine :P

Omg yeah I see those threads floating around, I've blacklisted MVP because of them even though they had so many good reviews because I just don't think it's worth it to risk it, there are plenty of clinics after all. Are you planning on getting anything done aside from DES? Since DES requires us to open our eyes halfway through I think there's a lesser chance of shadow doctors and stuff but yeah, definitely keeping an eye out for those shady malpractices nonetheless...thank you very much for sharing that link!

I think I saw a mention of Mina from here or on youtube. They have an IG too but there really isn't much to judge on. If they had more reviews, I might consider them more seriously. They quoted me 3,300,000-3,630,000 won, but said it would be an instant 20% off if I paid in cash or wired them so that would make it less than 3 mil won. Also there's a 7% tax refund on that. This is for ptosis correction + dual canthoplasty (I literally didn't ask for the canthoplasty and I don't want it LOL), also includes airport pickup, and one night at their partnering hotel.

and omg same I originally was interested in MVP because I saw good reviews and a girl on youtube who wasn't affiliated who had really good results (i'm sure you've seen the vid lol), but I just don't trust them and yea it's not worth the risk at all.

I'm only doing DES/ptosis correction. I don't want to come back to my mom not recognizing me since I haven't told anyone except my bf LOL are you planning to do anything else? and are you going alone or with someone? We should connect if you want!!
