Hello everyone!
This is my first time posting in this thread. I tried finding something similar to the question that I had, but couldn’t really find anything. Nothing current at least. So please feel free to direct me elsewhere if need be.
So I bought my very first Chanel a couple of weeks ago. I got the M/L classic flap in black caviar and gold hardware. It wasn’t until I got home did I notice that one of the sides was slanted. So I actually went back to Chanel a week later to exchange. The SA brought out another medium flap, and I noticed the stitching was weird in the corners. So I asked to see another flap, in which the SA said she could only bring out one more for me to look at. Thankfully the one she brought out didn’t have any imperfections... or so I thought. So I agreed to exchange for the last flap that she brought out.
Again, it wasn’t until I got home did I notice that one of the quilts had a dent. I included a picture for all of you to see. I’d hate to exchange it a second time because I’m worried that none of the flaps they have in stock will be to my liking. I’m so disappointed at the fact that I’m even in this predicament, considering the price point of these pieces, and because it’s my first Chanel!
I’m just wondering, have any of you exchanged your purse multiple times? Would you consider exchanging if you had the dent shown in the picture? Or do you have remedies to try and get the dent out?
Also, just to clarify, I don’t believe I put the dent in the bag. I didn’t have the chain sitting on top of the bag, and this bag is brand new. So I’m led to believe that this dent was already on the bag at the time of purchase, I just didn’t notice it. I’m also just dreading having to exchange it again because the nearest Chanel boutique is 1.5 hours away from me, in SF.
And for those who will probably bash me for being nitpicky, yes I am being nitpicky for a $6500 brand new purse.
I included a photo that shows how it looks when you look at it straight on (less noticeable). It’s definitely more noticeable when you look at the top of the purse directly.
