IMG_1161.PNG Not sure how I'm feeling about what I've done. I had an old Chloe Bay Hobo in bright green. Just couldn't bring my self to carry that bright green bag these days. Lovely leather but the bag was so "dated"! Even for me. (And believe me, I am a real lover of Vintage bags and usually carry my "treasures from days gone by" no problem).

I'd never have guessed that you dyed it, or that you did it yourself - it looks great! If it means you'll be enjoying your bag and wearing it rather than leaving it stuck in the wardrobe I think it's a good thing to do :-) you've given it a new lease of life :yes:

You now have a super unique bag!
Thank you!

Thanks! Yes, maybe it will get some use now.
Good job, Molly0!:tup::tup:
Thanks!
Great job. May I ask what dye you used? Any concern of it rubbing off on your clothes?
I used Fiebings dye. I was worried about that, so I put a coat of sealent on and it worked. No dye transfer at all. Only thing is, the smell isn't great so I have the bag sitting in front of an open window. Hope that will help!

I think it looks great (but I loved the old zipper pulls)!
Thanks!

Do you find that the dye changed the texture of the leather at all? I had an old stained MK camel coloured bag dyed black and it looks fine but the softness is gone. Oh well, I was over the big chunky logo anyway.

Hi. Yes I have had that experience in the past with dying too. But with this one the leather is still lovely, smooshie, & soft. Not really any different. Not sure why. I know that Chloe uses awesome leather. Maybe something to do with the leather quality?
