Just purchased a black tote from MG about three weeks ago. The dye on the handles has already started rubbing off, and the pouch that comes with the tote has already fallen apart (the zipper pull has fallen off completely). I've only used the bag 3 times, and each time I was very careful and did not overfill it. I'm perplexed as to how these issues could have occurred.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Never had a bag with so many issues so quickly. I bought an MG bucket bag about 3 years ago, it had been holding up really well. Super disappointed.

All brands encounter issues. Can you bring it back to the store? They will likely help if the back is only three weeks old.

I owned 2 MG totes in black (1 small 1 large) and a mini bucket. I never used the larger tote, not even once, because I realized how much I hated it when I was using the smaller one. Kept them all for 3 or 4 years and sold all 3 all last week with minimal use and recovered maybe 30% of my cost. I am relieved though to get them out of my eyesight. I am a handbag lover and MG is a brand I will never recommend.

I have a small tote I purchased just over a year ago and have used it more than any bag in my collection during that time — almost every weekday for a year! It’s held up beautifully, nothing more than a little corner wear (and I don’t baby my bags, either!). I’m so sorry you’ve had such a poor experience! Perhaps the decline in quality is recent—I certainly hope not!

hi :)
bough a MG bucket bag last year and after a few uses the top part started to crack badly, i loved the bag a lot and was planning to use it long term but I was so disappointed and after reading some reviews I don't want to try another bag from MG. Saw a very similar bag at this brand called Teddy Blake but not sure if I wont have the same issue...can anyone help with some legitimate feedback on their bags?
