hi guys,

I have recently bought 4 pairs of shoes from coach. They are all in size 5. But then I found the teddie pump (black) is really tight espcially in the front toes. There is no size 5.5 in NZ. The one size up is 6, which is too big for me. My SA told me I could stretch the shoes up to half a size but the process will be very painful!! :(

So, should I keep this size 5 or return the shoes? I do really like it tho!!

Please help .... would they be stretchable ??

Thank you.

I wouldn't keep shoes that were too tight. If you stretch the toebox they might lose their shape. Your feet will suffer too....

There will be other black pumps.

Thanks for the advise ... I am thinking of return the shoes and order size 5.5 online. half a size should fit me! I really like the pumps !! Spoken with my SA, will go down to the store tomorrow and try the size 6 .... :p

I have learned after many years of trial and error that shoes just do not easily or comfortably stretch another half size, and when/ if they stretch that much, they look bad, like distorted or very worn. I also avoid pointed toes, as they make my 9.5 size feet look ginormous. Probably not an issue at size 5.5, though. What are the ones on the far right called? They look really cute!

I agree with everyone. I don't play when it comes to my feet and comfort. I wouldn't rely on shoes stretching to fit. I think you made the right choice......return and reorder.

Never, ever buy or keep uncomfortable/ill-fitting shoes. They will end up sitting in your closet until the end of time. I've made this mistake way too many times - there's no reason to suffer for shoes!

I have a rule when buying shoes. If they feel tight, hurt, or are in any way uncomfortable in the store I will NOT buy them. I don't listen to SAs who say that the shoes will stretch out or take getting used to. No thanks! I need comfy shoes and know if the fit isn't right! :graucho:

THank you guys for your opinions ..... I've exchanged the pumps to a pair of booties in size 6. I can wear these boots during winter time with a thick socks!! :p
