Deauville vs. Neverfull

Still a newbie to this forum and luxury shopping, so if this is not the right thread to post, please let me know.

I generally wear a tote when I fly along with my carry-on. Right now, I use something like this. I wanted to get either the deauville or neverfull to upgrade and replace the kate spade, but I'm not sure which one I should go for.

For the deauville, I notice there's at least two kinds one with leather handles (larger in size too?) and one with only the chain strap (smaller in size?). I also notice there are fabric ones and caviar leather with studs ones. I figured caviar leather ones would be much more durable and easier to clean since I'd have to put it on the floor quite a lot. I also am not sure about the chain strap. If the bag gets heavy, would the chain dig into the skin? It seems like the smaller deauville (although doesn't have the leather short handle) only has the chain strap and it doesn't have a leather part on it.

Outside of Chanel, I thought the Neverfull MM would be a good option as well. I have a yellow kusama neverfull but I don't want to bring it on the plane. That's my "admire" piece. LOL

So what do people think? One of the Deauville or Neverfull?

That Chanel bag looks very stylish if that's what you're going for. I don't think I'd want to travel with a chain strap on a tote without the leather part on it. The Neverfull seems like the more practical choice between the two. But I do love the looks of the Deauville. Curious to see what others think.

I like kicking around my extremely durable Neverfull on an airplane. The leather Chanel is going to be way too heavy, IMO. The woven one won't be as durable as the NF. When I get home from a trip I don't feel like i'm hurting my bag to clean it with some wet wipes.
