A tiny misalignment wouldn't bother me. If one square was a quarter and one three quarters at the other side, that would bother me.

As my parents always say, seeking perfection all your life usually leads to disappointment.

I think it will be rare to find a perfect item, but alignment should be at least "pretty good." It depends on the shape of the item too, for a square item with straight seams then perfect or near perfect alignment is feasible. However, many things do not have a square shape so will never be able to get all patterns to line up perfectly.
