Quick question... for a 3-stone DBTY necklace, do you like the look of the floating diamonds (where the stone is embedded in the chain) or the dangling drop diamonds? Are there advantages or disadvantages to either way, wearability-wise? Pictures are of Roberto Coin ones. I’d be getting in white gold. TIA!

I love DBTY, but in this case I actually like the drop.

Less prone to flipping. And I think it adds some fun movement to the piece! One of my favorite brooches has multiple drop diamonds, and I always get lots of compliments on how it “dances.”

I've noticed that the dangling one has surfaced with a lot of vendors lately. Maybe it is my imagination but it seems like this is a newer style. I like both but for different reasons but I think someone's earlier point about the dangling one not having the flips is a real positive. I have a DBTY bracelet and it annoys me how much the diamond flips so possibly for a necklace, the one with the dangles may have more presence (since the diamonds won't flip). I think too with the dangling piece, it's a little more unique. If I see people wearing DBTY, it's either the single diamond or station (floating), so this would be something classic yet not as mainstream.
