I just bought a David Yurman pink tourmaline necklace and paid $975 (from the DY store). Then I noticed that the same necklace (7mm) with other stones, citrine, peridot, etc. are $590 on the David Yurman website. Is it possible that I overpaid or is pink tourmaline that much more money? Any thoughts?

Are you sure the stone is the same size?

I have the 14mm smokey quartz and noticed it's a bit more expensive than other 14mm stones, specifically black onyx.

I can't remember the exact difference in price though...

The prices on their jewerly do depend on the stone even though it's the same exact ring/necklace/bracelet. Erchin, pink tourmaline are more expensive than the other stones. So pretty though! Astarn, I think the onyx is actually the least expensive of all the stones. HTH.

Pink tourmaline is more expensive than some of the other stones, so the pieces with that stone are priced higher than the others - I've seen this before.
