Darwin Leather?

Obviously, I'm not a regular Mulberry poster (never been in here before today!). But I have a quick question for you "experts":
What is Darwin leather? When was it used? When did they discontinue it?
I have an older Mulberry, and it looks a lot like a bag referred to as Darwin leather, but the care tag says MATT GLOVE

Darwin leather is still used but it's called Natural Leather now.

Matt Glove is different from darwin. Darwin is a natural vegetable tanned leather that is designed to age quickly and attain a patina.

Matt Glove is a lot softer than Darwin.
