Darn!!! Paypal is expensive

I remember and knew that paypal credit card payments were expensive but wow.

I haven't been selling in two years so I didn't realize the prices have been hiked up so much. For an 18.00 credit card payment, they took out 84 cents

What is the history behind this?

They really haven't gone up that much, and you'd have to pay a percentage even if you took credit cards directly. It's something like $.35 plus X percent depending on the amount.

Yep, very expensive! And little or no protection for sellers! Sellers outside US, UK and Canada have no protection whatsoever! Not sure what I'm paying them for!
