Dark, dark browns on patina

Hmm... I don't want a dark color-- so I hold it in the crook of my arm. I love the Speedy tho.. .so I use it whenever I can, but I take other bags out now and then too.

My Speedy had an uneven patina. The part where I held it the most is darker than the rest. I finally had to get it replaced for about $200. It looks 100 times better. I'm determined to get an even patina this time.

Yikes! ^^^ That's what I'm afraid of too. I hope I get an even patina.

I actually like light pantina or none at all, it makes me feel that my bags are still new.. but again, I get really paranoid when I use bags with light handles.

I 'm afraid it may look wierd if the handles were replaced and they look brand new whereas the rest of the bag has some years to it.

well, I'm thinking the rest of the bag doesn't really "age" as obviously as the vachetta so it might not be very noticable?

Judging from everyone's comments about how minimal hand contact reduces the patina, it sounds like patina is LV's euphemism for "getting dirty"
