Hi everyone!

Wanted to tap on your input please oh what you think would be a good pair of earrings for daily wear.

I initially went into the store for the large trinity earring loops (pics attached). I loved the trio of gold as I would like to start wearing my other jewellery more often and my collection consists of different metals… But these were pretty chunky. I don’t mind the look, but worry about them being too heavy and causing my lobes to droop in the long run.

I tried the JuC in rose gold and quite surprisingly loved them, I’m just not sure that they are worth the price. I’m pretty sure it has the least gold content (yes I know when we go designer it isn’t about the gold content but still…) but is the most “popular” and therefore more expensive.
Finally in doing research I’ve seen the small clash which is quite statement and lovely and I feel worth the price, though I’m not sure it’s that much lighter than the Trinity for daily wear.

Do any of you ladies own any of these earrings or have any thoughts/suggestions please? Having a dilemma….

Thank you all in advance!

To me, daily earrings are ones I do not need to take off, and that I can shower sleep with :P .

But I think you're more along the lines of, something that is classic and goes with anything. Out of all of them, I think that the trinity hoops are the best for daily use. the JUC and clash ones have more edge to them and give a bit more of a statement and style.

Were you able to try on the trinity hoops? Did they feel heavy to you?
I feel that if you're going to taken them off when you sleep, that will give your earlobes some more time to tighten and not get pulled for too long. Skin is quite elastic.

I generally do not buy fine jewelry earrings, just because I have the greatest tendency to lose them. I lose a lot of earring backing in general. Nearly lost a diamond stud from taking off my mask to eat, and after that I have become more wary about buying fine jewelry earrings.
Though the ones you mentioned look substantial enough to hold on their own!

Cartier earrings are a push type earring back (forgot the name) so it’s nearly impossible to lose the backs unless you don’t click it passed the tightened spot, but once you do, you can’t lose them.

For the OP, you might want to look at the small Love hoops. I love those for everyday. They are substantial but still under the radar and discreet.

Oh yes I do mean earrings I can sleep with on etc. I’m also prone to losing earrings which is why I tend to get pairs I can keep on as I find that’s helped me keep my earrings over the years!!

I did try the trinity in store and they do look lovely. As did the JuC. I really do love the trinity pair as they are a clasp back so I feel that helps with not losing the backs too. My main gripe is the weight and that they will (inevitably?) cause droopy lobes with the way I’ll wear them. :( and I have the impression the JuC may not go with all metals and so am feeling conflicted

Thank you for the suggestion! May I ask if you have any issues with mixing metals given that the love hoops only come in either WG YG or RG? I know it’s a question of personal preference… just having trouble picking a single metal for daily wear that also goes with other items!

PS sorry all for the multiple posts, I can’t seem to quote and reply to each person within a consolidated post for some reason…

I wear YG Love studs and WG diamond studs in my ears. I hate heavy earrings for daily wear and wanted to mix metals, so decided to pierce second holes in my lobes to wear 2 pairs.

Have you considered just diamond studs since you’d want something classic? They wouldn’t be too heavy on your ear lobes and you can sleep with them

Be careful sleeping in diamond studs. After many wears of sleeping in mine (I sleep on my left side primarily) the hole in my left ear enlarged from the pressure of the stud and backing. It was large enough that the stud (1 ct) could push through. Ultimately, I had to have that hole cut and sewn shut and, after healing, I had the lobe re-pierced.

I’ve never slept wearing my studs since.

Oooh, okay, sorry, lol. I'm impressed. I can't wear anything to sleep unless they're studs or huggie hoops, haha.

Hmm, hard to say. Personally I'm not used to heavy-ish earrings. I used to always buy solid gold until one time I got a pair of medium sized hoops and I was like wow they are heavy! So now I go for gold-filled for bigger earrings.

I do think the JUC is much lighter and I think the rose gold color, while more pink that other rose gold fine jewelry from other brands, I have heard that overtime with wear become more yellow-toned. So, especially if you're wearing them daily, I'm sure the tone will change over time to something more neutral.

Looking forward to what you'll decide on! Good luck!

I am not a white gold person so I only own items in RG or YG.

Usually around my neck and face area, I prefer YG because it’s brighter, but around my hands and arms, I currently prefer RG.

I would say I don’t mind mixing YG & RG together.

My Cartier small Love hoops are YG. YG is also the most hypoallergenic of all the golds so that’s another plus in case your ears get sensitive.

I also own the Diamants Légers earrings:

However, I feel the small Love hoops are more substantial as they stand out more but are still very discreet.

I have worn both these earrings off and on for years to sleep and in the shower without any issues.

I also don’t want heavy earrings that can cause my ears to droop in the future and feared the hoops could do that, but I haven’t really noticed any changes and really I love them so much I just don’t worry about it anymore!

P.S. As for consolidating posts, I think you just push “reply” on one and answer, then “reply” to another and answer.
