hi guys. just want to know your opinions on this. i'm planning to buy a CZ earring and ring set from a local seller. just want to know what you guys think of these and which you think is better....

pictures are not from actual seller. i just searched on the internet for the one that looks like the actual item i'm gonna buy...

http://cgi.ebay.ph/jem-SML-ILLUSION...4?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_211&hash=item4aa69115f8

THAT one is a mix of marquise and emerald cut. 4 marquise diamonds on the sides of the circle and an emerald cut in the middle thus creating the so called ILLUSION. coz it looks like one whole diamond, instead of 5 diamonds in different cuts.

THAT one is the princess cut set. the cz is really big though and looks super white. so i'm kinda having 2nd thoughts on this one.

i want something that doesn't scream CZ! the illusion set isn't so white that's why i like it but at the same time i want a jewelry that has just 1 big stone that doesn't scream CZ. the princess cut is indeed very sparkly but it's just too white. so what do you guys think, would you be okay with the very white princess cut or the illusion set? what do you guys think about 5 stones creating an illusion of one diamond?

BELOW is a picture of a REAL DIAMOND ILLUSION earring and ring...

although i can't be too sure as well if the listing above is real.... coz the seller is selling it for so cheap. approx. $4000++ for a 4 carat stone? is that possible?

I'm so confused here. thanks so much for all your inputs.

I think the eBay ones are probably real: illusion settings are much cheaper than real diamonds, because it's not "a" four carat diamond, but a bunch of little diamonds that, along with the metalwork, face up like a single four carat diamond.

Honestly, if it were me? I wouldn't get either of these options if you don't want something that screams CZ. I'd either, a) trawl eBay for discounted "high-end" CZ brands, like Crislu or Nadri, or, b) go to these guys: http://www.winkcz.com/index.php?page=about and order a pair of the lower color stones in Chinese White or something, in an unusual cut like the OEC, and a believable size. Hope this is helpful!

wow. i wasn't even aware of those brands til u mentioned them. anyway i did a search bout them and crislu really caught my attention. i would love to see crislu items in person though. but i don't think it's possible as it's not available in my current location. will do a check on my trip there!

They frequently sell them at discount retailers like Nordstrom Rack, Loehmanns, Filene's, etc. I can't really fathom paying several hundred bucks for fake, generally, but mark them 70% down? Why not?
