Hi everyone. I love false eyelashes because mascara glops together and makes my eyelashes look clumpy. So, anyway, does anyone know how to go about cutting false lashes? I just bought a MAC pair, and the lashes are a bit too long for everyday wear, how would i go about cutting them? I'm not sure if I should even cut them because they were made so that certain eyelash hairs are shorter than others, so maybe I shouldn't cut them? TIA. :smile1:

What I do is I just take the false lashes before gluing them and I just match them up to my eye. If It seems that there is a bit of excess I just cut the excess with a pair of eyebrow scissors

I have cut the hair on individual lashes (clumps of about 10 hairs) before. To make them look natural, DO NOT cut them blunt/straight across. I cut the shortest hairs shorter first, then make my way out to the longest hairs until I have trimmed it a bit. It doesn't have to be in the EXACT same proportions as the eyelashes originally were, but to keep the shape, this method works well.

If you are not usually adept at this sort of task (how good are you at cutting bangs?), I would not attempt it. Just save the ones you have for going out and buy a different pair for day.

I always cut the length of the band to 3/4 length and place them starting from the outside corners of my eyes, but I would never cut the length of the lashes themselves. I wear all sorts of different lash lengths, so I buy all sorts of styles. Cutting the the actual lashes would make them loose their taper and would look too blunt.

My sister cuts her band to 1/2 length which a lot of girls do, but I think 3/4 looks best on me. The full length band looks the least natural.

I have been using Revitalash Serum for 3 months now. It had made my eyelashes lengthier and thicker than before. I had damaged my eyelashes because of extensions and these bad false lashes, revitalash repaired them and made them more beautiful. After 2 months of regular usage I have now reduced the application to thrice a week as I am satisfied with the length my eyelashes have attained.
