Cute or not cute?

I wanted to find a way to repurpose all my Chanel packaging. I framed the shopping bag to go with my other “big purchases” shopping tote frames (hang them in my dressing room). The tissue I keep to stuff bags generally, and toss the excess. But then it came time to figure out what to do with the ribbon.

I came across this idea online and thought it was adorable. Still do but not sure if I’ll ever actually carry this thing instead of…you know, one of my actual purses.

So…cute or not cute? Should I just return this thing and put the ribbon back in the box where it belongs. Be brutal. Haha.

It's cute. I'd probably use it to hold things around the house since it looks to be the perfect size.

That’s what I was thinking. The inside is lined with a kind of rough cotton drawstring bag, but it would be great to just catch extra accessories.

Not cute. You mentioned you might wear this as a purse, and I personally think using the Chanel ribbon worn as a purse looks a bit cheesy.

If you wear it as a bag as you mentioned, it looks like you are trying to pretend like you have a Chanel bag.
It's clearly not a Chanel bag, so then by using the ribbon that way, it makes it look like you worship Chanel so much you have to display even the ribbon.

That's just me, and I know using these ribbons is 100% personal preference.
I vote no. It's a just a cheap ribbon. I would put it back in the box.

I’m in the minority, but I also think it’s not cute, but rather tacky. But I’m the person who always prefers clean minimal looks.

Thanks, guys! I’ve kept it in my dressing room to catch little things (bag chains, SLGs, etc.) until I have time to actually put them back in their boxes/bags. I think you’re right that I wouldn’t actually wear this out…but like it enough to not bother returning (it was only $20 and 5 minutes of sweat equity). Appreciate it!
