hi!

Do you know any asian brands that make cute good quality handbags? For info, my style is classic with cute and playful touches. The kind of bags I like are the lady dior ultra matte in black and the louis vuitton alma bb in rose ballerine (see pics below ). So, clean lines, a soft vibe, structured, no logos and silver hardware. My max budget is around $3000 for high street and $5000 for bespoke.
I especially like the cute and elegant style you see on k-dramas, hence the idea to look for asian designers, but if you know european or us brands that would fit my criterias, let me know .

thanks a lot if you have any recommendations :heart:

Hi Poka Dot.

I’m not too familiar with K-dramas, but one bag brand that I see worn everywhere here (I like in Tokyo) by young professional women is Samantha Thavasa. They have very cut designs that is similar to the pictures you showed.

They have a sub brand called Samantha Vega which is a bit cheaper and maybe a bit more out there with their designs, however note that these are not made of leather.

The “Samantha Thavasa” brand bags are made of leather and at least before made in Japan. I’m not sure if they have moved or their production to China.

I have myself had a Samantha Vega bag in the past which I liked, however, nowadays I feel too old to wear their cute designs.

I agree with the above poster that Japan-based Samantha Thavasa’s Samantha Vega line might be what you’re looking for. I used to own a purse from their regular Samantha Thavasa line. It was nice quality. I just didn’t use it much, so I sold it.

Also check out Vivienne Westwood. While not a Japanese brand but it’s wildly popular in Japan.

I think luxury brands are heavily featured in Asian dramas so you might easily find their bags from Chanel, Celine, etc.

There is also Bao Bao Issey Miyake. I use to see a ton of Asians in my town carrying her bags.

Her bags aren't as cute as Dior or LV, but something to check out. Best thing about her bags is that they are made in Japan. They come in cute colors, are easily packable and super lightweight.

No judgement attached, but I think you may mean 'his' unless I didn't get the memo

There's cute and there's cute, there's quality and there's Kwanpen https://www.kwanpen.com

Some bags are in your price range but I get £-signs and not dollars so you'll have to check.
