My brother was detained by customs for 2 hours because he didn't have a receipt for his watch, which was old! (I'm not sure of the designer, however.) Good luck to your mom, sounds like she'll be fine if she brings the receipts. I'm too paranoid to bring anything nice to Cali now, which is where my sister lives.
