I've heard that some people who order these fakes memorize serial numbers on Cartier jewelry at the store and request the bracelet/ring/etc be engraved with that same number. This is suspect. If you were planning on just rocking a fake and passing it off as the real deal, that's one thing. But to go that extra step, it makes me feel as if they plan on selling it and passing it off as authentic.

Wow!! That’s a lot of fakes. Yikes. There is so much nice jewellery out there. Why people are buying fakes that everyone else has is beyond me.

I wonder how much of this would be ‘returned’ to Cartier, ie someone buys genuine item but returns the super fake with same serial? I think if that’s happening and Cartier has no way of recognising super fakes with serials that are genuine then it’s troublesome.
