Hi, people! :smile1:

I love natural gemstones and want to design custom earrings with a couple sapphires in it.

I chose 2 blue sapphires:

One of those is 6.02x6.03x6.09 mm and the second is 6.48x6.46x3.62 mm
On the photos it's look like pretty similar, but dimensions is a little different.

What problems i can get in this case?
It is so hard to find a stone pair in this quality

Thanks for your answers!

As earrings, I don't think the difference would be noticeable when worn. The issue will be the setting since the stones are calibrated. Depending on what type of setting, a good jeweler should be able to make it work for you. Many years ago, I acquired 2 emerald cut Aquamarines. One stone was just a hair larger in it's calibration. I had them set in an emerald basket setting as earrings. My jeweler was able to fit the larger stone in the setting & no one realized there is a size difference in the stones. Hope this helps. Good Sapphires are so expensive these days. It's hard to pass up a deal when you come across one.

Guys, thanks for your replies!
Can you give a contacts of your jeweler?

Thanks a lot!

I went through an online vendor Brian Gavin Diamonds for my engagement ring and earrings. They doing amazing work and are really easy to work with. :) He's located in Texas, USA. I think a lot of ladies on this forum can vouch for Brian Gavin as well.

I've heard of him & everything I've heard has been positive.

The difference in the first two dimensions will not be noticeable, but I would check with a jeweler first to make sure the depth difference will not be an issue. Unlike diamonds, sapphires will be more noticeable against the setting. They're lovely gems.
