Custom DBTY necklace. What length is good?

I am getting a custom made DBTY necklace from my jeweler. I was wondering what lenght is standard/good for layering? I have it at 16" but maybe a bit shorter would be good? Any1 have pix of theirs and what length it is? Thanks :)

I find 17" or 18" to be the most comfortable for layering. When layering if the necklaces twist with each other they can get shorter and you can start feeling like you're being choked. KWIM??

I think they look good when the diamond falls in the little hollow at the bottom of your neck. If you can ever watch "A Perfect Murder" with Paltrow and Douglas, her DBTY fell in the little hollow...so elegant!

Mine is 16 and I definitly wouldn't want longer, but I have a skinny neck. I probably would be better with 15.5, but I'm leaving mine as is.
I think it would depend on how many diamonds too though. If I was getting one with more than 3 diamonds, I might move up to 18" because I think multi-diamond strands are classier when they are longer.

Thank you. I agree with you. I have a skinny neck so I'll go with 16 for now. I'm getting a soliataire so I think the lenght will be fine.
