I can't believe it. About 2 years ago I lost my tennis braclet(sad), I was sure I had lost it at yoga. Waited a week for it to show up, put it my claim and picked out a shiney new braclet(happy). While waiting for the check my cleaning lady comes and finds my braclet behind the microwave! Are you kidding me(sad)! At least we know she cleans well(happy). Last week I lost a dbty necklace that I had just made from stones from a ring I never liked, loved it(sad). Searched everywhere, I knew it was in my car, on driveway, or in my room. Cleaning lady came Fri, didn't find. Decided to splurge on a single stone dbty at Tiffany's(very happy). Called the insurance co today. Go out to get in the car look down and.... Yup, there it is(I sware I was on my knees searching for an hour last week!!!) can this happen twice??? Has it ever happened to you??? I really wanted the Tiffany necklace(so sad).

LOL! I had a gorgeous 18kt, a few diamonds, Michael Bondanza locket made in 1994. Absolutely loved it! One day it disappeared, about 6 months after I got it. At first I thought my 3 y/o threw it out with the trash...he was into The Rugrats and they did things like that. I looked hi/lo for about 6 months and finally put a claim into the insurance company. Got the money. 12 YEARS LATER my husband found it in our horse paddock, under dirt and you-know-what...the chain was sticking out of the ground. He screamed and yelled (thought he was having a heart attack) and ran in with the locket. I sent it to the same jeweler, had my initials FINALLY engraved, cleaned up as good as new and sent back. My son's picture was still inside, perfect, even after 12 years. Didn't know what to do about the insurance company so...I did nothing! :graucho:

LOL, yes it has. Twice, too. It must be premonitions of something for us! ;)

I was working in NYC at the time and during one of those hot sweltering summers, my shoe met with a crack and down I fall to the pavement. People help me up and I joke, "hey, I saved my Starbuck's coffee!" Well fast forward to the office and I felt my hands and the diamond from my e-ring is missing! My heart and eyeballs felt like exploding that very moment. I shot out of the building ran back to 42nd & 3rd Ave (possibly the busiest intersection off Grand Central Terminal), ran the 3 blocks narrowly escaping death by taxi. On hands and knees I found my diamond, point down, in the softened hot tar in the pavement cracks where I'd fallen. Someone had stepped on it and pushed it into the tar. Imagine... it could have ended up under someone's heel if the diamond had pointed up.

About a couple months later, I lose the lapis lazuli stone from my favorite ring. I mentioned to coworkers it seems I'm not going to have the same luck finding this one. Walk back to my cubicle, and there it is, on the carpet right outside the cubicle.

I lost a gold gucci-link bracelet about 13 years ago. it is the only piece of jewelry that I've ever lost (have had some stolen), so I looked EVERYWHERE. I finally decided that the carpet cleaning guys must have taken it or sucked it up in their machines. I found it about 3 or 4 months ago in the change portion of a wallet that I haven't used in a while (I guess it would be about 13 years :p)! thank goodness I never donated or consigned the wallet!

So do you call the insurance company back and tell them every thing's found? Maybe you shouldn't rush to call them when you think something is lost... but I'm glad you found your gorgeous jewels!

I have not find bezel half eternity ring for the past 3 months so I went out and bought 3 rows micropave (half) eternity band in hopes that i would find my bezel one. I hope that it would show up one day. I love love my bezel eternity. It was not insured. I am sad that I lost mine... not so in love w/ micropave ring.

But I am taking the necklace to have stones checked today, I must of run over that sucker a million times. It was glued to the driveway, I had to peel it off! Let's see how strong diamonds really are! I have a damage coverage, although it has grown on me and the stones do have sentimental value.
