Can anyone share any current (or fairly recent) prices of new Patek Philippe watches they have purchased or looked at recently? Any currency is fine, though prefer to know in USD, GBP (£), or Euro. Please also specify whether quartz/auto, and list specs if you remember them.

I recently saw an advert in a magazine that lists the Twenty-4 model with diamonds for only £8,000 (approx. $13,480 USD). I thought that was rather low then realised it was a quartz. For all I know it could have been a typo and is missing a digit. If this is the price for a quartz with diamonds I'm very curious to know the price of more "basic" quartz PP watch.

I was in the states a few weeks ago and saw the Calatrava 7119G automatic for $22,500 (USD) at an AD. Its specs were: auto, 31mm, white gold hobnail patterned bezel, black alligator leather strap (photo attached). It doesn't seem that there's a PP ladies' auto that's smaller than 31mm. Am I wrong? And, I'm more interested in yellow gold casing. Does anyone know the approx. price for this spec?

Ok, last question - I saw in a 2011 thread that someone mentioned getting 10% in Geneve. I will be in Geneve in a few weeks - does anyone know if the discount is applied sometimes at the proper Patek boutique or at an AD?

last year price was around A$30k for the cheapest calatrava, white gold would be more expensive than rose/yellow gold.
But it's in store, 100%authentic, and brand new.

Thanks, CatQueen. 30k, really? And since you say that's the cheapest Calatrava, I assume you're referring to a quartz? What size was the case? I always thought the lower end would maybe hover around 16k-18k USD.

So strange, the US boutique we visited (an auth. dealer) said a new 31 mm auto Calatrava (7119G, listed above) was 22,5k. And I've always been under the impression that YG is usually more expensive than WG. I guess I've been wrong all these years?

Hi,

I think Cat was talking about Australian dollars, hence "A$30k". The price of the 7119J (J= or jaune, g = or gris) is 20,700 USD. As a rule yellow gold IS cheaper than white gold.

Also, you mentioned the 7119 is auto. This is not true, it is actually a manual wind, which means you have to wind it everyday. An auto does not have to be wound manually, but rather it gets wound by your wrist movements.

The patek 24 is STEEL, which most ladies pateks are not which make it lower in price, in addition to the quartz movement. Dont underestimate patek's quartz though - it has a very high level of finishing and is handmade just like their other movements...just less parts and uses a battery.

The smallest size for the calatrava currently is 31 mm like you mentioned. They used to have a ~26 but I think they have discontinued it as women are preferring larger watches.

ETA: regarding discounts: as a rule, brand boutiques almost NEVER discount, maybe on very very high end pieces, but beyond that there is really zero discounting in US and EU. ADs will budge on prices though. You can usually get 10- 20% off on a gold patek.
