Travel Crystal Cruises

Has anyone ever taken a cruise on Crystal? I know they are suppose to be very high end and nice, but I would love to hear some personal experiences. I've never taken a cruise, but am considering taking a Crystal Cruise to Mexico.

I'm wondering about the food, accomodations, service, etc. Will it be worth it for us to book the Penthouse level suites or will there be too much to do on the ship and we will not use the cabins much? Is it worth it to pay extra for a higher deck? Are cruises fun in general?

I'm in my thirties and will be traveling with DH and DS.

My husband and I were on the Crystal Serenity this summer. They are awesome! This is our 2nd cruise on Crystal. The food and service --perfect. Ship is clean. Evening entertainment needs a little work. Let me know if you want more information.

Thanks for your response, ShopperGirl! Can you tell me what type of cabin you had? I've never been on a cruise, but I noticed the higher the floor, the more expensive. Do you know why that is? TIA!
