Crossbody bag-Rose Ballerine Cluny bb or RB alma bb plus speedy 25 b azur?

Last week I went to store to try different rose ballerine items since I really love this new pink color. I have narrowed down to Cluny bb and alma bb in RB EPI color. Problem is stores I went to-They only have cluny bb in RB. They don't have alma bb in RB color so I couldn't compare. I tried alma bb in Grenade and Pivoine. SA told me there is only one Alma bb in RB EPI available in U.S.

Cluny bb looks very pretty and elegant- But my concern is- Is alma bb more classy and probably would hold more value down the road? Also although the magnetic closure is very tight on Cluny bb, I find myself still like zipper better. I also tried speedy b 25 azur yesterday. I don't really like speedy with strap version before. But surprisingly this bag is so cute and practical and roomy. SA said it is better for the daily use. They only reason I don't go with Azur this time is I have already had a few canvas bags and I wanted something in RB EPI this time.So I am thinking for about the same amount of money, I probably could get alma bb in RB and speedy b 25 Azur. Cluny bb is almost 1k more compared to alma bb. I don't know if it is worth the extra $$.

Please help me choose. I am 5'7'' and looking for a small to medium size bag to wear cross body on weekend. (Not a too small bag. I have Eva in DE already) My style is more casual but girly- Jeans with floral top , sundress, etc. If I can take this bag to work, it would be extra bonus. But it is fine if it is not suitable for work. Please help. I am so indecisive. Thank you.

My suggestion is to think if you "like" or "LOVE!!" the Cluny BB. For $1,000 more I would want to LOVE bag. If you just "like" it, I would go with getting the Alma bb and the speedy 25..they are great bags too. Good luck deciding :)

Good point. The thing is before I intended to buy the bag if I loved it at first sight. Like brea mm ivory, I loved it when it first came out. But I soon found out I don't like using this bag. I sold it with loss. Now I try to do more research before I make a decision. Cluny bb-I really like it the first time I saw the bag. I was planning to get alma bb in RB EPI before cluny came out. I think I like cluny bb because It is a little bigger than alma bb so I thought it looks on me more proportionally since I am tall. Thank you for your suggestion.

Hard decision. I just can tell that the Alma BB is a perfect bag for work and casual, too but it is like playing Tetris when I put my staff in it. But I do have 4 of it and love them, that's why I would buy the Alma and the Speedy.

I remember your beautiful alma collection! I was going to get magnolia alma bb until I find out the new RB color is coming out. So do you find zipper for alma bb is hard to open and close? Is it too hard to arrange your stuff all the time to put them in? One of the reasons I sold Brea EPI is because of zipper. But I just love EPI leather and I adore this new pink color. I guess Pro for alma bb is cute, more fun, zipper closure but maybe hard to open? Cluny bb is elegant with magnet closure and a little bigger(more roomy?) but 1k more. Which one will hold more value down the road? Cause I find myself some time changing taste after a couple of years.

I don't have any problems with the Zippers. I get used to it I find it easy to open/close. To arrange the stuff is sometimes a little harder, but I always have the same with me: vernis Cles, cosmetic pouch, Empreinte cles for cards and money and Ray Ban Sunglasses. Fits perfect without makes the bag bulky. When I let the cosmetic pouch at home I do have more room and no problems to put other stuff in it. I like the Cluny, too, but more place means always more weight for me and that's not good for my neck. The Alma is a classic shape and would never look dated [emoji4]

Thanks for your reply! I really appreciate your opinion. I am leaning towards alma bb in RB EPI and azur speedy b 25 now. I think I will have dressy and casual combination.

alma bb in RB and speedy b 25 Azur
both gorgeous bags, I'd get them over the cluny because i like them more, nothing to do with price (although i guess that's great :) )

I went to my local LV thinking I wanted an Alma BB but I fell in love with Cluny! So worth the extra $ for me (saving furiously now). I love that it's way bigger (I could fit all my essentials), professional but then cute cross body for weekends.

+1. The Cluny is simply gorgeous! Like you I tried it on and fell in love with it.

That was me! I wanted alma bb originally but saw Cluny bb and fell in love with Cluny. It is bigger than alma bb and maybe looks more proportionally on me since I am 5'7. But then I tried alma bb in another color to compare. I like alma bb's zipper and cuteness. Also alma bb seems more fun to wear cross body. Cluny bb looks a little bit serious compared to alma bb. Buy maybe I can carry to work? When you wear Cluny bb cross body, the top handle stays upright. It still looks good though. The magnetic closure makes me worried if it will become weaker after use. Cluny is a very new design but gorgeous bag. Alma bb is more classic I guess. It is so hard................

It is hard, I tried on the alma bb a while back and didn't like the way the crossbody works. The way the bag sticks out when worn crossbody also bothered me, whereas the Cluny lays flat. Also I noticed there's a false bottom on the alma, which to me is wasted space. These are my observations.
I'm definitely getting the Cluny just waiting for the indigo colour to be released.

This is one of the reasons holding me back from buying alma bb. The bag sticks out a bit when worn crossbody because of the wide bottom. Cluny bb does lay flat when worn crossbody. I love RB color so I guess I have to make a decision not too late since this is a seasonal color. Alma bb are all sold out in RB EPI color right now so I am waiting for my store to get it then I can compare with Cluny bb in RB.
