Hello ladies,
I need a new cross body bag for everyday heavy use.
Which of H bags would you advise me to fit my objective.
I would like smth that is very comfortable in use, I mean hand in and out.
I do not consider buying Evelyne which could be the first to advise because I don't like canvas strap.
What do you use from H as a cross body purse?
TIA

I think a Jypsiere would be perfect for you! The strap is leather and has a wider part on it which sits comfortably on the shoulder. It comes in three sizes, but even the smallest (28) can carry quite a bit. They're coming in some gorgeous colors lately too. GL with your search! :smile1:

I considered buying Jypsiere until last week. I met a lady with Jypsiere when I was shopping last week end. I took a liberty to ask her whether she is comfortable with it. I was actually shocked when I got the answer. She told that she dislikes it very much as it's difficult to get in and out.
You know, when you try the purse in the store you have no idea as to how comfortable it is in everyday use.
Like with Kelly. I am absolutely fond of Kelly but after I've had 4 I know that Birkin is more practical and easy in use.
That's why I need advise from TPFers.

First things that comes to my mind :
Try your Kellys with a long strap. Long enough to make your Kelly a cross body bag.
Try first with the Kelly strap. If it is not long enough, make one with anything you find in your house. (Other bag strap, ribbon, piece of fabric, scarf, belt...anything...)
Find the exact right length you need.
Go to Hermes and order the strap : You can order an all leather strap.(PM me with your email address and I will send you a picture of a special ordered all leather strap)

Et voila !

Second thing that comes to my mind:
Trim bag (any) with the optional additional strap that doubles the length of the strap Here again, make sure you order it exactly the right length you need.

Why do you not like canvas strap? Are you aesthetically not liking it? Just a question here, because I think the leather straps are considerably thin, when you wear on you on cross body it tends to be uncomfortable?

How about Massai?
It can be worn cross body.. And quite comfy..
I am looking for one myself.. :)
I am afraid to sound too capricious ( I am actually not ) but I forgot to mention that the inside should be lined with leather as well. I am just a huge fan of genuine leathers for everything ( coats, hats, even furniture and etc. ) and can do nothing about this.
Thank you for taking your time to give me your advise.

I appreciate your advise. I tried Kelly ( I have 40cm that could be used as everyday purse ) with its' own strap. It's short for me. I will definitely follow your advise and speak with my SA as for ordering longer leather strap. I had no any idea that it's possible to order. Thank's a lot! I appreciate your offer to help me with pictures and will PM you.

Thank you for your question. You absolutely spotted the point. Yes, aesthetically not liking it. I adore genuine leather and adore how it slowly getting the signs of aging. Canvas strap is aging ugly. I am keeping the things I like for a very long time, getting attached to them emotionally and like them to look good as long as possible.

I have a Jypsiere and have no trouble getting in and out of it. It is my favorite travel bag.
Thank you for sharing your personal experience. Aesthetically, I like Jypsy very much and going to try it again next week-end. My another concern is that the bottom of the bag is not rigid and doesn't keep the shape. I am just afraid that with years ( considering that my purses are always overloaded ) the bottom will look ugly.
Before, I was going to buy Jypsy online as it's available on Canadian site. But after I spoke with that Jypsy owner last week end I decided I better try it in the store. So, Jypciere is still an open option for me.

Good luck. I also overload my bags and have not had a problem with my Jypsy. I've had it now for about 4 years.

how about the cou de selle? there is a current thread on this right now.
I also can't make the evelyne work for me.. its the open top.. im sure to lose everything and that's more stress for me..
Im going to give the bolide a chance and maybe get a longer strap for the size 31 to wear it cross body. I will keep you posted!
