Cross body for my Mom

Hello ladies,

If you could help me to choose a crossbody bag for my Mom, I would much appreciate. I bought her a LV Turenne PM and a matching wallet in mono in May. She loves them. I am thinking to get her a LV Favorite MM but my aunts (her sister-on laws) have them so I don't think she would want to have the same bag. The LV items are her first 2 designer items. She can afford to get nice things for herself but she always save money for us so she would never buy luxury bags for herself. So I would like to get her a Gucci crossbody. I should have gotten it before the price increase. What do you recommend? My Mom is 57 years old, about 5'3, petite. I am thinking something under 1,500. Thank you so much.

As ManilaMama has said, your mom is very lucky to have such a sweet and thoughtful daughter. Now in terms of a Gucci crossbody bag, I would most definitely recommend the Soho Disco. Mine just came in from Matchesfashion.com on Wednesday and I am SO SO SO SOOOO in love with it (I carried it around the house for a little when it first arrived). The price increase was quite steep in CAD; originally $1170 to $1415 without taxes, however, the price increase on the Soho hasn't been reflected on Matches yet.

I am 5'1 and the adjustable crossbody strap on the Soho Disco has made it ideal for us short girls. I had it at the shortest hole and it sits perfectly at my hips when used as a crossbody. Considering your mom is taller, I think the strap would work in her favour as well! Let us know what you decide on.

The Soho Disco has perhaps a slightly more casual/girly vibe but can also be wonderfully minimalist. The Marmont is also practical and casual but depending which colour, could be dressy too with the deep gold hw.

I immediately thought disco. It is in your price range and you were thinking of the LV favorite which does not hold as much as disco.
