...I've been trying this out, before I posted this info on here...

I have found this
http://www.kiwicare.com/UK/Products/SuedeNubuck/

Kiwi Multi Purpose Protector ;)

I initially bought it for my new Ugg boots, as like with my Oak Bays, I didnt want my chestnut Uggs to get waterstained -

I have used 3 times now on my Oak Bays (and my Uggs) and been in very heavy rain, and both are fab!!!

and this is only £2.43 a can (in Morrisons anyway)

Thought might be some use - especially if needed urgently and not near Collinil stockists

(PS my sister got some today in Tesco too - £2.52 a can)
(Kept with shoe care stuff)

I use this too kellymorgan but on top of a Collinol coat. Just in case Collinol is giving something extra. But yes at 2.50ish I think nothing of blasting a bag with it. I pick up a can if I'm in that aisle in the supermarket.

Last week water drops were rolling off my taupe shimmy or if they landed they never soaked in.

I use the kiwi stuff too! It's great when I can't get into town for Collonil. I use it regularly and so far (touch wood) I've never once had a watermark on any of my bags!

I think you do need to be careful - I brought some Clarks protector and sprayed my Uggs at the weekend (good job not my Mulberries) and the sheepskin has definitely darkened more then the suede bit at the heel - bit disappointed. They look two toned now! Serves me right for being a bit tight and foolish - should have stuck with the Colonill - so don't use other stuff unless you know it has been tried out by another TPFer

oh no! - kiwi def ok xxx

Hi KM, i bought some of the kiwi spray yest, but i admit i'm a bit scared to use it. How heavily did you spray your oak bays and did you hold the can quite far away? Have you tried this on any other coloured bag?

Yep, I just use it in exactly the same way as Collonil. I tend to really douse my bags with whichever protective spray I use and have had no ill effects/darkening etc so far!

Lakeland (leather company, UK) leather protector. Brilliant. They make sheepskin coat and they do not ever recommend dry cleaning, only protectors.
I sprayed suede lining of my Mulberries. All right.
For cleaning (not cheap, but wonderful) - "Estee Lauder take it away" for face! I saved one old bag by it, not Mulberry, but as expensive.
