Creases/wrinkling type marks in new mini Marmont camera bag..normal or not?

I received in the mail today a new mini Marmont camera bag from the Gucci store online. I was a bit shocked to notice these wrinkling/creasing marks all over the front of the bag. The back and the rest of the bag are fine but the front seems covered in these creases. Is this normal? I am forgiving to some leather imperfections but wasn't expecting so many. It would be super annoying to return since I am in Canada and I had to pay for shipping, and would have to pay it again to exchange so I am hoping its somewhat normal or maybe it will improve somehow ? Hope you can see the marks on the uploaded photo.

I honestly would return it. You can always try to use some apple leather lotion. That removed marks that was caused by a strap pressing on the leather during storage for my fendi messenger bag. Good luck!!

Trying to link to picture from Fashionphile of same bag but link wont work. Bag on Fashionphile close up shows very similar lines/creases/whiskering. Worried if I exchange I may get the same issue with another bag. Does anyone have or has seen this bag in black know if it is somewhat normal for front side not to be completely smooth? Thanks

It is completely normal from what I can see in your pic. We tend to over scrutinize bags when we first receive them. Enjoy your new bag it is lovely.

You can see a little bit creasing where the stitching goes down if that makes sense. I think it is totally normal. The bag probably wasn’t stored super well. These creases usually develope when the bag is pressed from the side. I would put some leather lotion on and let it air out and let the leather relax.

You would think they would store the bags they are trying to sell for thousands of dollars a little more carefully?? I almost feel like they are trying to get rid of a damaged bag on a Canadian that most likely wont go to the trouble of sending it back and shipping is on my dollar! Do they not inspect their bags before they ship them???
On top of the inconvenience and costs, fear of getting a worse bag exchanged stops me from going through with exchange process since there doesn't seem to be quality control.
I asked a girl on Youtube doing a review on same bag if she had wrinkling. She replied her bag is perfectly smooth, it really does look nicer in the video I can tell difference. All things considered though I will keep it and try that Apple lotion just not worth the headache. They do have free shipping on to Canada at the moment but still not worth the risk. Thanks for your advice much appreciated.

I’m sorry the experience has been so frustrating I can’t say my Gucci tote came in really well either a couple weeks ago. Honestly Apple lotion is magic. I’m hopeful!!!!!

Have you tried looking at a different color possibly? Honestly I think the black looks pretty great with a bit of creasing. It gives a bit of a vintage vibe. If you worry too much about it, have you considered a disco soho camera bag? It’s so carefree. My mom throws it around and it literally still looks new Another suggestion....you can always order another one and send the one that looks the worst lol

So I’ve just got a new Gucci Marmont Camera bag in small size but i noticed that there are wrinkles on the opening sides of the bag. I'm really half-hearted whether to return it or not, I’m just worried that it might get worse after a period of use. What do you think?
