I have purchased the Gucci Marmont flap bag in November last year. When I received it I noticed the creases on the bag but I was so excited about the bag and just thought the creases will go away. Probably, it was stored for a long time hence the creases. I have used my bag only once for a trip to Paris, but even with two weeks of correct storage (I have stuffed the bag), the creases were still there. Moreover, the leather started to rip near the ring loop.
I have contacted Gucci in December to have the bag replaced. They had the bag checked and concluded that "that the condition of your item was not due to a manufacturing or quality issue. It was determined that the crease and inconvenience on the top near the ring are due to external factors and are not considered a quality fault."
That's it.
I wore the bag for 4 days only, and the remaining 4 months the bag has been stuffed and I am not wearing it because the creases are really bothering me!
Gucci did not offer me a reason why the crease is there - just noted that it is not their fault. According to uk consumers law, they need to prove that the fault is by my doing. I do not think they have. I am considering taking them to consumer ombudsman as I can't believe that they are blaming the condition of the bag on me. I have seen a YouTuber who has experienced the same issue with her bag (crease in a similar place) but she sad it didn't bother her so she kept the bag.
I need your help guys! Has any of you experience creases on the bag when you received them?
