Cracked Vachetta Galliera PM

Hey everyone, I would like to know your opinion. My partner has recently got me a 'very much' pre loved Galliera PM. Unfortunately the top trim has some cracks & and is quite dark. I'm not really sure what to do about this bag. I know LV won't fix it because there are tiny cracks in the canvas along the trim as well ( barely noticeable).
Do you carry yours with cracks in it or do you get it fixed straightaway?

Shall i perhaps resale it as it is or maybe send it to handbag clinic to get the vachetta around the edge repaired?

If it can be returned to where it was purchased from, do that.

Personally I would return or resell. People who buy preloved should treats cracks as a deal breaker (unless the bag is like 80% off retail). Not only do the cracks have the potential to become very large but LV may also reject the bag for almost any repair because of them.

I agree with the prior posters, return if you can, or sell..
You could take it to LV and see if they could replace the vachetta, they *might* do it, but chances are they’ll decline because the canvas is cracked.
Honestly, I would try to find another Galliera in better condition. Good luck!

I can deal with super dark or cracked vachetta (can be replaced), but cracked canvas is a deal breaker.
If you cannot return, I'd consider selling and putting the $$ towards a Galliera PM in better condition.

Unless the handbag clinic you're taking it to can do all of the leather well, I think it would look strange with just the top part replaced.

It has been a while but i thought i would share an update in case someone else will come across the same issue in the future. LV has replaced the top trim and all the gold hardware. So next time it might be worth asking at your local boutique to actually get an accurate answer

Im glad i came across your post. I have similar situation with my neverfull mm, i took it to the store to get all vachetta replaced. They took it. A lot of people on an fb group were telling me LV will not touch my bag. I just got an update on my lv app that repair is on process.
