So I am in love with the courier! I have one that i've been using non-stop since February and I have pre-ordered 3 more from the fall collection! But I have a little problem with it.... it does not want to stay on my shoulder! It constantly slips off and it's really starting to make me mad. As much as I love this bag, I can't carry it comfortably without having to fix it every minute! So I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of what I could do to make the strap stay?? Maybe I just have weird shoulders :p TIA for the help!

I love the courier too but hate the strap. I solved my problem, my friend gave me a Louis Vuitton large NOE leather strap. It is perfect. The LV strap is a sturdy leather one and it makes the bag seem so much more secure to me. Does this make sense? I am not really impressed with the Balenciaga straps and use this strap on my city and twiggy bag. I really don't care what anyone thinks because I love it.

Does the Courier have that shoulder pad thingy? If so, can you remove it?

I had a flat messenger that I CUT the thingy off completely, I hated it so much. Good news is that the flat messenger fit much better without that pesky shoulder pad thingy.

No, the Courier doesn't. It's a regular strap.

It slips off my shoulder too but haven't been carrying the bag for long.

I don't have that problem at all. The strap doesn't slip.

Hm, perhaps it's the shape of your shoulders? Have your tried lengthening the strap and wearing it cross-body?

Hi, you can buy the large Noe LV strap from Louis Vuitton, I believe it sells for $250.00. Yes it is expensive but will last forever. I had my first Noe bag for over 18 years before I gave it to my friend and she still wears it. Of course I clean my leather straps so it was never dirty looking. My friend gave me a new Noe strap that she bought probably 18-20 years ago and it was tucked away in a bag. She never even used it. So I was very happy to get it. I like to feel my shoulder bags are sturdy and with the Noe strap they are. I feel very secure grabbing my bags on and off my shoulders and did not feel like this with the reg. BBag straps. The regular courier strap was hard to stay on my shoulder and just felt strange. Same with the twiggy and city straps, I didn't like them. I am sure other leather straps would work well but I personally love the large Noe strap because it has the two ends that have the holes for the strap to be hooked on each side, like you do with a belt. I personally don't like the clip straps that you just clasp on a bag, I always think they are a bit cheap looking (just my personal opinion).

I think as the strap breaks in, they might become less slippy.
I have an 05 Emerald Courier, and the strap is broken in more than my brand new 07 Violet strap. It seems to stay on my shoulder a bit better than the new Violet strap.
Maybe take the strap off and knead it gently?! Kind of roll and unroll it to make it softer?

Thank you for all the suggestions! I hope it will break in eventually. I don't know if I want to go out and buy a new strap but it might have to come to that if it continues to bother me! I'm a big girl so I can't wear it crossbody. I'll play around with it and hopefully will find a solution! Thanks again!

Gillianna, this sounds so cool. I'd love to see pics of the bag or even better of the bag with you modeling it. Sounds like such a cool new twist on a bbag strap....any chance you can post pics?
