Hi,

I'm selling on ebay and just noticed the counteroffer option. I was submitted a best offer on my item but it is a bit lower than I really wanted to sell the bag for so I have counteroffered with a slightly higher amount than her offer. My question is if the counteroffer is declined can I still accept her initial best offer?? Her best offer option has disappeared even though it wasn't due to expire until a further 10 hours?? Help anyone??

As far as I know, if you counteroffer and they decline it, then you cannot accept the previous offer.

She might be able to resubmit another offer at the original amount? I think you get 3 chances...

No, you won't be able to accept the original offer if they decline your counteroffer...they'd have to make another offer. But you can let them know that you'll take that one now...good luck!

Thank you, it seems to have worked out well in the end, I wish ebay would be clear about these things in their help pages!
