IMG_7861.JPG Opinions, please! So, short version is that I have caught Gucci fever- and now can't make up my mind about anything because I love everything :facepalm:

Would having these two bags be redundant in a purse collection? I purchased the mini with the beige suede, but can't stop thinking about the blooms mini- it's so gorgeous! I am thinking of returning the beige for the blooms, but I really have been wanting a beige bag and with this coated canvas it is perfect! So that being said, I was thinking about purchasing the beige in the "small" size in addition to exchanging for the blooms mini... am I just being blinded by my Gucci love right now or does two Dionysus in different sizes and colorways make "sense". Here are the two bags I am contemplating buying together (the small beige suede and th mini pink blooms)... any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated, thanks!

I totally love the bloom, splurge if you can, even though i will opt for something completely different.

^I agree. Also I personally think the beige is a little plain, especially standing next to its blooms sister. But maybe the more understated look is what you're going for? :smile:

Do you like the idea of a beige/neutral coloured bag or love the design?

I agree! That's why when I kept looking back at photos of me wearing both the beige mini and blooms mini crossbody, I was still missing the blooms because it just popped in comparison.... I went back to boutique today and tried on the "small" in the blooms and I definitely prefer the mini.

And both- I want a beige bag and I love the design of this one. I am usually a Chanel girl but have always resisted a light colored Chanel due to maintenance and color transfer. Since the back of this one is the coated canvas, I thought this would be one beige bag I could actually go for due to its durability :)

Both Dionysus bags are great additions to a wardrobe.
The mini canvas Blooms is adorable - it always looks good - and the beige suede canvas is very understated and cool. Also practical because the small size is quite roomy (much more practical than the mini) and the canvas is hard wearing.
Only you know if you want both of your new (and only) Gucci bags to be signature canvas Dionysus but they're deservedly popular styles and different enough from each other IMO.

Thank you so much for your advice! These actually wouldn't be my only Gucci bags :p. I own a black Disco, and have preordered the plum velvet clutch with crystals on the tigerhead hardware :doh:... so these two would only be part of my Gucci collection... do you think that helps or hurts my decision?

Sounds like a beautiful and varied collection with a particular emphasis on the wonderful Dionysus :tup:

Please post a pic of the plum velvet clutch when you get it. It sounds gorgeous!
BTW, I love your username. It rolls off the tongue. Trauma mama. Wish I'd thought of it!

the blooms one (while beautiful) is too busy somehow, that beautiful clasp gets lost against the floral design. they're competing, at least in my eye. is it the clasp or the blooms that you like? the clasp stands out much better on the beige, which i think helps make it look better. imo. since you have some gucci items already i'd go with the beige dionysus and get the blooms print in another item.

I have thought about that too - because for the blooms, it is the blooms I mostly like - but what makes the bag work for me is the combination of the "hard" with the hardware and the "soft" with the floral pattern.

ha - no, still deciding! What I really want is for someone to tell me I'm not crazy and of course it is perfectly sane to have two similar bags ;)

I love the blooms print and think it's ideal in smaller sizes. It's very feminine, so the mini size just reinforces that appeal. With that being said, if you have two of the same style you will inevitably use one less.

My recommendation is to look at your wardrobe and determine if the blooms print works. I find that I mostly only wear mine with blacks, whites, creams, etc.

However, if I only had to choose one, hands down I would choose the blooms every time. It's just gorgeous and an attention getter!
