Could this person be serious or scamming?

One time I contacted a seller who listed a Camel Lily for almost full retail and stated in the auction that anyone selling it for less must be scamming. [They didn't say scam, but I can't remember the exact term].

I contacted them and told them the bag was currently selling for $300 in the outlet (more than $300 less than she was selling it for) and the others that were cheap were authentic. They ended up modifying their language (not the price) and that bag has still not sold (more than 2 months later).

I contacted the seller because I felt they were implying other sellers were selling fakes to try to get people to buy hers instead. I wasn't trying to buy hers cheaper.

So, if you want to lower the price I say go for it. You won't be able to tell if the person is just trying to be helpful or get your item cheaper.
