could this be true?

  1. my older sister, who lives in hawaii, recently got her first LV. the recital. she said that when she bought it, the SA gave her a "damage discount" of 50% off and told her that she couldn't have a receipt, because it cannot be returned. from what i've experienced, LV doesn't sell anything damaged, so they shouldn't have an option to give anyone such a discount... i'm just wondering about this. i wasn't there when she bought it, but it sounds off, to me. what do you guys think?
  2. That is so odd. I've never heard anything like it! I think I heard somewhere that employees can get damaged goods for 50% but I'm not sure about customers. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
  3. wow never heard of this before. maybe she just happen to get a SA who sold it her. how damaged is it?
  4. i have no idea. she emailed me that she got a new bag, but pasted the elux pic of it, so i don't know.
  5. I don't believe it...:s
  6. Hmmmmm ..... that is really strange.

I thought LV always got rid of the damage pieces and were not allowed to sell them. :confused1:
  7. No, they don't sell damaged goods. And you would NEVER buy something in the store and they not give you a receipt.
  8. that's what i thought. it sounded really weird to me.
  9. I don't know. I never heard of that but it would be a good thing if it only had a minor flaw. I was under the impression they destroyed imperfect stuff, but like I said I haven't a clue.
  10. that's what i thought, too.:confused1:
  11. IM(humble)O it sounds unlikely...
  12. Hmmm, maybe the SA was selling her private stash?!
  13. Never heard of this either.
  14. It almost sounds too good to be true. But if it is true WOW she got a great deal.
  15. I would LOVE to see pics of this bag because I am having a hard time believing this happened in a real LV store.
